Biography
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Madelyn Renée received her bachelor’s degree from the Juilliard School of Music, New York City. She made her professional debut with the San Diego Opera as Mimi in La Bohème opposite Luciano Pavarotti, a role she subsequently performed with the tenor in other theatres including the Sydney Opera House in Australia.
During her career, Ms. Renée has performed more than thirty-five operatic roles in major opera houses and festivals worldwide, notably the Metropolitan Opera, the New York City Opera, the Teatro alla Scala, the Vienna State Opera, the Opéra National and the Opéra Comique (Paris), the Sydney Opera, the Opéra de Montecarlo, the Deutsche Opera (Berlin), the Oper der Stadt Bonn, the San Francisco Opera, the Houston Grand Opera, the Budapest Opera, the Academy of Music (Philadelphia), the Salzburg Festival and Geneva’s Grand Théâtre.
